Peras al Vino - Pears in Wine

Three adjectives comes to mind when we think of Peras al Vino - Simple, elegant and easy! A new crop of pears are starting to make their appearance in supermarket produce sections, so now is a great time to try out this recipe. Don't be put off by the cooking time, which is over an hour - After peeling the pears, you let them slowly simmer in a sugar and white wine mixture on the stove top for an hour. In the meantime, you can be preparing the rest of dinner.

We recommend this dessert for your the next dinner party or family get-together. Make it ahead and refrigerate until you are ready to serve!

Tip: If you have leftover wine sauce, try pouring it over vanilla ice cream.
