2008 Super Bowl Appetizer Exchange Continues...

Sunday January 20, 2008

Today our 2008 Super Bowl Appetizer Exchange continues with favorite recipes from two of About's Food Channel sites, the Guide to Busy Cooks and the Guide to Kids Cooking, including their own versions of the favorite appetizer for Super Bowl - guacamole!

Linda, our Guide to Busy Cooks, has two favorite recipes:
Guacamole
This classic appetizer can't be made ahead of time, but it only takes minutes to assemble. The rich smooth buttery taste of avocado is complemented by sweet tomatoes and tart lemon.

Sausage Balls
Just four ingredients make up these delicious little balls that are crunchy on the outside and creamy on the inside. And you can make them ahead of time. The spiciness depends on the heat level of the sausage.

Stephanie, About's Guide to Kids Cooking, suggests:
Seven Layer Dip
It's a classic -- and for good reason. Stephanie says, "Tastes great, and it's healthy enough to be a meal in and of itself. Plus, it's vegetarian, low-fat, and kosher." Wow! How can you beat that?!

Guacamole
Made with freshly-squeezed lime juice and cilantro, this is one of Stephanie's favorite versions of Guacamole.
