Jornadas Gastronómicas - Annual Festival of Gastronomy in Javea, Alicante

Today through May 25th the 4th annual Festival of Gastronomy will be taking place in the Alicante town of Javea, (or in the Valencian language Xàbia). Since Javea is located on the Costa Blanca, the focus will be on seafood and will be served on the beach! In addition to fabulous food, it seems this year the town has taken it up a notch and for the first time are offering live music and a raffle for a Mediterranean cruise.

Unfortunately, we won’t be able to attend, but if you happen to be in the area and want to stop by, you can buy a "tasting voucher" for 15 euros, allowing you to try up to four different dishes and an adult beverage, along with tasting local wines, Spanish desserts, coffee, etc. This year the Xàbia Restaurant Owner's Association will be dedicating a day to the pinchos or tapas that are very popular on the Costa Blanca. Vamos a tapear!
