"Who-me-ah" is a Wine?! Yes... Jumilla!

Tuesday October 14, 2008

Red Wine

The weather continues to cool and that means that we're enjoying more Spanish red wine. We'd like to encourage you to try Spanish wines from Denominations of Origin (DO) other than the famous Rioja because many regions of Spain are producing solid wines and the bonus is - they are reasonably priced!

For example: We recently spotted a 2006 Jumilla called Panarroz. It was priced at $9.00 per bottle and we thoroughly enjoyed it with our grilled steak. Jumilla is one of six Denominations of Origin from the Levante region, located near the Mediterranean coast in eastern Spain, including Valencia, Castellón and Alicante, as well as Murcia.
