Cracked Crab with Pink Sauce

The Spanish eat more seafood than any other country in Europe and it's easy to buy fresh-caught fish and shellfish in anywhere in Spain. Although Spanish cuisine includes an incredible variety of seafood dishes, we think that the simple recipes are often the tastiest.

In December in the USA, crab and shrimp are on sale, so take advantage of the lower prices and prepare a simple Spanish dish. We recommend large prawns or langostinos grilled or boiled and served with lemon juice or salsa rosa, pink sauce. If you prefer, try cracked crab and toss an ensalada mixta for a dinner that is simple and deliciosa! Serve a chilled Spanish white wine, such as Albarino, or Spanish sparkling wine called cava. Either one would nicely compliment the seafood.
