Tortitas de miel translates to English as "little cakes with honey," which really does not give the reader a good idea of the dessert. These light, fluffy, round discs, lightly fried and drizzled with honey are not really what we think of as "cakes." They are a bit like fluffy pancakes, but much tastier! Tortitas de miel are easy to prepare and make a great dessert, or an afternoon snack. Traditionally, they are drizzled with honey, but why not sprinkle with sliced almonds or serve fresh berries on the side?
