Fish and Clams in Garlic Wine Sauce

Lent, the 40 days leading up to Easter is a time of prayer, penitence and fasting. During Lent Catholics abstain from eating meat on Fridays. Because the Spanish have been Catholic for many centuries, and because they are surrounded by ocean, there are many Spanish seafood dishes to choose from for those meatless Lenten Fridays, and we made a list of our top picks. Fish and Clams in Wine Sauce, pictured at left, made the list - and is a good example of a tasty Spanish seafood dish.
