Green Beans with Garlic – Alubias Verdes con Ajo

Green Beans with Garlic or in Spanish, Alubias Verdes con Ajo is a simple and easy recipe that uses nothing but fresh ingredients - green beans and garlic! Try it as a side dish tonight.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 lb. fresh green beans
  • 2-3 cloves garlic
  • extra virgin Spanish olive oil
  • salt to taste

Preparation:

Serves 4-6.

Snap the ends off of the green beans and then snap the beans in half.

Steam the green beans until cooked, but still crisp.

Mince garlic. Pour olive oil into a heavy bottom frying pan and heat to medium heat. Add minced garlic and briefly sauté for 3-4 minutes. Add green beans and “toss” in the frying pan to coat with the olive oil and garlic.

Lightly salt to taste and serve your Alubias Verdes con Ajo.
