Making Tigres - Chop the Mussels, Onion and Garlic

When cool enough, remove the mussels from the shells. Set the shells aside until later. Place the mussels into a food processor with a knife and pulse until the mussels are finely chopped.

Finely chop the onion and garlic. If you will use a fresh pepper, chop finely now.
